William Carlton Langford

William "Carlton" Langford, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2019 at North Florida Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was born on April 24, 1932 in Gilchrist County, Florida to the late Joseph Arthur and Maggie Mae Sheffield Langford. Carlton is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herman Langford, Melvin Langford; 3 wives, Janice Baxley Baker, Marsha Thomas Langford, Georgia Paulson Gay Langford; son, Richard Earl Langford; 2 grandsons, Richard Lewis Langford and Jonathan Earle Langford and 1 great-grandson, Coltyn Blaiyn McClendon. He is survived by sisters, Gertrude Langford Gay of Fort White, Phronia Langford (Bud) Stanley of Tampa, Joyce Langford Trail of Fort White, Marie Langford Johns of Fort White, Sue Langford (Bob) Riner of Fort White and a brother, Joseph Langford of Plant City; 5 children, Janie Carol (Barry) Dillon of Ashville, NC, Barbara Ann (Leonard) Finch of Chipley, FL, Jeffery (Beth) Langford of Marianna, FL, Terry Joe Langford of Chipley, FL and Martha (Scott) Nelson of Chiefland; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service for Carlton will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Center Hill Cemetery in Bell, FL with Brother Herschel Langford officiating.
