Timmy Lee “Timbo” Ellis, 65, of Alachua, passed away peacefully at his home on May 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 18, 1960, in Opa-locka, Timmy lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and kindness.
Known by many as a true “Jack of All Trades,” Timmy was especially talented as a carpenter, taking pride in the work of his hands and the relationships he built along the way. He never met a stranger and had a personality that drew people in instantly. Whether you knew him for years or only a few minutes, Timmy had a way of making everyone feel like family. He was the kind of man who would gladly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.
His loved ones will always remember one of his favorite sayings, “Forever in a day!”, a phrase that perfectly reflected his larger-than-life spirit and the lasting impact he made on those around him.
Outside of work, Timmy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved riding his motorcycle, spending time on the water, and casting a fishing line whenever he had the chance. More than anything, he cherished the time spent with those he loved.
Timmy is survived by his wife Lisa; his daughters, Charlie and Jennifer; his mother, Dot; his 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service to honor Timmy will be held on Wednesday, May 20th, at 10:30 AM. A short visitation hour will be held 30 minutes prior at 10:00 AM, all at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Newbery. Arrangements have been placed under the care of and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home. (352) 463-8888 www.WatsonMilton.com
