Robert Boyd

April 10, 1956 — November 10, 2025

Robert “Bob” Boyd, age 69, of High Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025. He was born on April 10, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Augustus R. Boyd, and Anne (Gaynor) Boyd.

Bob was an avid golfer and a proud member of the Maple Dale Country Club in Dover, Delaware. He loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas and the Caribbean, and enjoyed taking road trips with his beloved wife, Ruthann. His passion for life and adventure was matched only by his dedication to his work. Throughout his career as a sales manager in both the automotive and furniture industries, Bob built an impressive network of colleagues and friends who will always remember him.

A lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, Bob took great pride in witnessing his team win not just one, but two Super Bowls during his lifetime, a joy he shared with friends and family alike.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Augustus R. Boyd and Anne (Gaynor) Boyd; and his sister Barbara Ann Ryan (Gary).

Bob is survived by his wife of 28 years Ruthann L. Boyd; his sons, Justin Boyd, Matthew Van Name (Carrie), Nathan Van Name (Carrie), and Kyle Van Name; his daughter Michelle Minnich (Jeffrey Knippenberg); his brother, Stephen Boyd (Mary); sister Karen Riley (Donald); and his aunt Sister Elizabeth Gaynor. He is also survived by 9 wonderful grandchildren, Miles, Coen, Ellis, Clara, Lillian, Ana, Addy, Averie, and Aspyn; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his laughter, love, and legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
