Rhonda Northup

September 19, 1957 — April 7, 2024

Rhonda Watson Northup, 66, went to her heavenly home on April 7th, 2024 at HCA North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Florida after an extended illness. 

She was born on September 19, 1957 in Gainesville, Florida to Ronald and Joyce Watson. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1975 and with a degree in Executive Secretarial Science from Lake City Community College. She worked at Farm Bureau and Allstate in Gainesville, GP in Cross City, and most recently for Drummond Community Bank in the bookkeeping department. Rhonda was a long-time member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She deeply loved her family and friends, her little dog Roxie, jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid Gator gal.

Mrs. Northup is preceded in death by her parents. As a loving wife, sister, and aunt she is survived by her devoted husband, Ray Northup and his family, whom she loved as her own, including his sister, Judy (Ron) Stokes of Orlando; son AJ (Kelsey) Northup and grandchildren Makayla and Miles Northup and Kensley Herring of Old Town; niece Rhonda (Bill) Evans of Ohio, nephews David (Saydee) and Christopher (Jennifer) Stokes of Orlando, and great niece, Carolina Stokes.

Rhonda is also survived by her adoring sister, Melanie (Tony) Clubb of Trenton, nieces Hillary (Brian) Cribbs of Williston and Heather (Johnathan) Rawlins of Trenton, nephew Jason Clubb of Gainesville, and great nephew and niece, Micah and Josie Rawlins.

A visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, from 6-8 pm at Watson-Milton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Friday, April 12, at 11:00 am with Rev. Tony Clubb and Rev. Jared Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
