Patricia "Pat" Ann Dauch, a beloved member of the community and cherished matriarch, passed away on October 22, 2025, at UF Shands. She was born on March 17, 1939, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, and spent the last 35 years of her life in Old Town, Florida, having moved from Upstate New York.
Pat was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the VFW 5499 and a member of the Senior Center here in town. Her career was marked by her passion for food and hospitality as she owned a restaurant where she cooked alongside her husband for many years. She was known not only for her culinary skills but also for her loving and caring nature, which touched the lives of many. She was a passionate women that loved hard which lines up perfectly since her absolute favorite color was red.
In her personal life, Pat was characterized by her strength and resilience. She was an excellent baker who loved gardening, taking great pleasure in tending to her flowers and watching the birds. Her zest for life extended to playing, and winning (by any means necessary), bingo and poker, always ready to engage in friendly competition. Pat cherished spending time with her family and loved ones always showing endless love and support.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Geraldine "Gerry" (Jim) Abplanalp, Laurie (Tom) Reinshagen, and Katherine "Kathy" (Jim) Davies, along with her ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love and family.
Pat is predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth "Ken" Dauch; her father, John Hofsommer; her mother, Theresa Martin; her son, Kenneth Dauch, Jr.; her sister, Marie Hofsommer; another sister, Mary Ann Dauch; and her brothers, Joseph, Bill, and John "Red" Hofsommer.
A viewing will be held on October 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Watson Milton Funeral Home, located at 426 W. Wade Street, Trenton, Florida.
Pat Dauch's unwavering spirit and deep love for her family will be profoundly missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
