Orion Lanier Davis

April 9, 2025 — October 9, 2025

Orion Lanier Davis, a beloved son, grandson, and sweet baby boy, passed away on October 9, 2025, at just six months old. Born on April 9, 2025, in Gainesville, Florida, Orion brought so much joy, laughter, and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him during his short but beautiful life.

From the very beginning, Orion was strong — a bright, chunky bundle of joy with sparkling eyes and the happiest little spirit. He was just beginning to scoot around, determined and curious, ready to explore the world on his own terms. His joyful squeals and gummy smiles filled the room with warmth and love.

Orion adored his momma Mackenzie deeply, always lighting up in her presence. One of his favorite pastimes was watching Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friends, his eyes wide with wonder as he followed the colorful characters on the screen. He also had a special excitement for motorcycles, their rumble made him grin and giggle every time.

Though his time here was brief, Orion’s light was bright. He reminded us of what pure love and joy look like. He leaves behind a family who will forever hold him in their hearts, and a world that feels quieter without him in it.

Orion's family is finding comfort in knowing he's currently playing in Heaven with his big sister Roslyn Padot. He is also preceded in death by his great great grandfather, Richard Padot Sr.

Orion is survived by his mother Mackenzie Padot, his grandparents Robert Padot and Brandy Hicks Padot and Summit Moyer and Geoffrey Moyer. His uncles, John Padot, Devon Bowser, Nicholas Hicks, Justin (Kadi) Hicks and Scott Moyer (Megan). His aunts, Summer Padot and Stephanie Freed (Duane). His great grandparents Joel and Marietta Padot, Duane and Cynthia Bailey, LeAnne Barrett, and Floyd Mitchell. He is also survived by honorary mention, Garrett Williams.
