Nancy Ann Williams

Nancy Ann Williams passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023 at Ayers Health & Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on August 24, 1943, in Chiefland, FL to the late Richard and Ruth Forehand. Nancy's journey through life was filled with joy, compassion, and a deep devotion to her family, friends and her Lord.

Nancy was a dedicated member of Bethel Baptist Church and found solace in her faith. She served her community as a teacher's aide with the Gilchrist County School Board before retiring after 33 rewarding years.  After retirement she enjoyed babysitting young children who all called her Granny.  They enjoyed working in the yard with her and playing games. 

Nancy loved decorating for the holidays and had a knack for collecting roosters of all kinds. As an avid fan of the Florida Gators, she cheered on her beloved team during every football game, displaying unwavering loyalty and enthusiasm for their victories.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Williams; a daughter, Debbie Ann Williams; and two brothers Richard and Charles Forehand. She is survived by her son Wayne (Mary Beth) Williams of Cartersville, GA; niece Terri (Mike) Barton of Gainesville, FL; nephew Kirby (Cristina) Forehand of Tallahassee, FL; granddaughter Jamie Riggs of Live Oak, FL; along with several other nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

A visitation service will take place on August 1, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery located at SW Co Rd 334A in Trenton, FL. This will be followed by a graveside service at the same location beginning at 10:00 AM. Friends and loved ones are welcome to join together to honor Nancy's life and share in the memories.
