Mildred La Rosa

Mildred La Rosa, 75, of Gainesville, FL, passed away on July 20, 2023. She was born on August 30, 1947 in Managua, Nicaragua. Her family migrated to New York where she grew up and called that wonderful city home.  She met and married the father of her children and had the unique opportunity to live in Venezuela. Mildred was a loving and caring individual who cherished her family dearly. She had a special bond with her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, always making sure they were well taken care of. Although not physically near, she was still very close with her family living in New York. She was especially fond of her fur baby Belle, who was her loyal companion. Mildred was known for her commitment and compassion as a friend, always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.

Mildred is survived by her children: Yanire LaRosa (Eddie), Jennifer Williams (Shane), Orlando LaRosa (Michael); her grandchildren Adrian (Christine), Andrew (Karen), James, Victoria, Oscar, Christina, Lucas, and her great-grandson Aidan. She is also survived by her sister Sandra Karlin, her niece Jessica Cesar, her cousin Tony, her cousin Frances, and her brother-in-law Alex Cesar.

Mildred was predeceased by her mother Carmen Lessage, her sister Brenda Cesar, and her aunt Ana Carco, who together helped raise this wonderful generation and all shared in helping to keep our traditions.

Mildred La Rosa will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her love, lessons, words of advice, and encouragement will always be remembered.

A memorial service in honor of Mildred will be held at Watson-Milton Funeral Home Saturday, September 2nd at 11:00 a.m.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson- Milton funeral home. 426 west wade street Trenton, FL 32693. 352-221-1323.
