Meagan Maurer

May 9, 1985 — June 27, 2025

Meagan Maurer, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, left this world unexpectedly on June 27, 2025 and entered her eternal home. Born on May 9, 1985, in Gainesville, Florida, she was cherished by all who knew her. Meagan’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith, selflessness, and boundless love for her family and community.

Meagan grew up in Trenton, Fl and was a proud salutatorian of the Bell High School class of 2003. Meagan excelled in both academics and extracurricular activities. She was a member of the Beta Club and an active member of the 4-H program, where she showcased her talent for showing dairy goats and participating in fashion shows. After high school, her journey took her to Florida College in Temple Terrace, where her bright smile captured the attention of her future husband, Seth.

Meagan's passion for learning and teaching flourished throughout her life. She was an active member of the Trenton Church of Christ, where she quietly served many years as a teacher for bible classes, particularly adoring her time with the toddlers. Her commitment to education extended beyond her church community; she also held the role as one of the local directors for Classical Conversations, fostering friendships and a love for learning among her peers.

Family was the cornerstone of Meagan’s existence. On May 6, 2006, she married Seth, the love of her life, embodying the virtues of a supportive and selfless spouse. Meagan’s heart swelled with pride as she tirelessly homeschooled her children, instilling in them a knowledge, wonders of the world and love for God. She shared an especially close bond with Emily, describing their relationship as that of “two peas in a pod.” She encouraged Sean’s adventurous spirit and was intrigued by his love for the outdoors. She cherished delightful moments of crafts and activities with Gwendolyn during “Mommy time” as the older siblings attended Bible Camp. Meagan adored her children and together they created beautiful memories.

Meagan’s loving spirit extended beyond her immediate family. She was a devoted daughter to her mother, Danette (Roger) Wiley, and a caring sister to Amber Stanley, Brittney (Chad) Brewer, and Katelyn (fiancee' Kyle Ostendorf); Sister-in-law Crystal (Jonathan) Baize, along with cherished nieces and nephews—Kaden, Grant, Blake, Lydia, Levi, Olivia, Emmett and Preston; uncle Kevin (Kathi) Hyde, and the many other extended family members and friends.

Meagan is predeceased by her grandparents Eugene and Carol Hyde and In laws, Steven and Shirley Maurer.

Even in her passing, Meagan’s legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She is remembered not just for her accomplishments but for the light she brought into the lives of others through her patient, giving nature and her ever-present smile. As we cherish the memories of Meagan Maurer we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the bonds of love she nurtured throughout her life.
