Mary Evelyn Pigg, 86, of Lakeland, FL passed away May 5, 2022, in Gainesville, FL. Mary was born in Moultrie, GA September 14, 1935, to James and Lear Godwin and moved to Lakeland, FL as a family at age 6. She worked 43 years at FMC corporations and FMC employers credit union before retiring in 1997. She moved to Trenton in 2021, where she was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and a 56 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a past matron of Sunset 231 Highland City and Mulberry 57. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, R.E. Godwin of Quitman, GA.

Mary is survived by her husband of 67 years Lawrence E Pigg; 2 daughters, Connie (Steve) Delph of Lakeland and Donna  (Ron) Giles of Trenton, FL: 3 grandchildren, Alan Giles of Trenton, FL , Kim (Ryan) Choate of Lakeland, FL and Samantha (Steven) Alford of Newberry, FL; One sister Elsie Entzminger of Lakeland, FL; 8 greatgrandchildren, 1 nephew, 3 nieces and other extended family also survive.

The family would like to invite friends on Saturday, May 14, 2022 for a Celebration of Life at Watson-Milton Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m. She will have a private family internment at Pine Grove Cemetery.
