Martha "Dianne" Sanford Tobin, of Trenton, Florida, passed away on August 25, 2026, holding the hand of the love of her life, Patrick. She leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Born to the late Annie Mae Joiner Sanford and James Roy Sanford, Dianne was a woman whose vibrant personality and generous heart made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished sister, and loyal friend.

Dianne is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Patrick Tobin. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. Whether traveling the country in their RV with motorcycles in tow or pulling off the road to admire a breathtaking sunset, Dianne and Pat embraced every opportunity to experience the beauty of the world together. Their journey was a testament to the deep bond they shared and the life they built side by side.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Dwayne Jones; her brother, Rocky Sanford; and her sister, Royanne Sanford.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Vinson Lamar Jones and Jamey Goad; her daughters, Cheryl Young (Mark), Terrie Deen (Bill), and Dianna Gorton (Tom); brother, Donnie Sanford (Gail) along with many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who became family over the years.

Dianne found peace and happiness by the water. The beach was her sanctuary, whether she was relaxing in a comfortable chair with a good book, feeling the warmth of the sun on her face, or spending the day on a boat with a fishing pole in hand. The ocean's beauty, the sound of the waves, and the salty breeze filled her soul and brought her joy.

She lived life fully, loved deeply, and never missed an opportunity to make memories with those she treasured most. Dianne's kind heart, adventurous spirit, unmistakable Southern drawl, and infectious laugh will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Though her absence leaves a profound void, her love remains woven into the lives of her family and friends. The memories she created, the stories she shared, and the joy she brought to others will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

A Celebration of Life honoring Dianne will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Watson-Milton Funeral Home. Dianne was an attendee of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Chiefland, Florida, and a memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Sandy Bozman at 1:00 p.m.
