Marcus Milam Wilson passed away on November 1, 2024, in Trenton, Florida. Born on October 6, 1934, in Trenton, Milam lived a life dedicated to hard work, establishing several successful businesses alongside his brothers. Among these were Wilmor Builders, Wilson Brothers, and Wilson Mobile Homes, all of which reflected his commitment to his craft and his community.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Milam had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he enjoyed farming and gardening, activities that connected him to the land and brought him much joy.
Milam was surrounded by the love of his family during his lifetime. He is survived by his beloved wife, Edith (Polk) Wilson; his daughter, Becky (Shawn) Harper; and his son, Marc (Chaille) Jr. Wilson. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, Tara (Marty) Adkins, Daniel (Gloria) Harper, and Shannon (Matt) Najar. Milam also took great pride in his role as a great-grandfather to Brantley, Hannah, and Jacob Adkins, James Najar, and Presson Harper.
Milam was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Geraldine (Henderson) Wilson, and his siblings, J.T. Wilson, Robert Wilson, Harry Wilson, Roy Wilson, Joe Wilson, Mable Morgan, and Jeanette Wilson. Their memories will forever remain an indelible part of his legacy.
As we remember Marcus Milam Wilson, we celebrate a life marked by dedication, love for family, and a spirit that flourished in the great outdoors. He leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew him, both personally and through his professional endeavors.
