Madeline Elizabeth Langford Norman

March 2, 1934 — August 15, 2022

Trenton

Madeline Elizabeth Langford Norman, age 88, passed away on August 15th at NFRMC in Gainesville, FL.  She was born on March 2, 1934, in High Springs, FL, to Albert and Edna Langford.  If one were to summarize Madeline’s life into one word, it would be “family.”  Madeline came from a large family, and the Lord blessed her with seven children of her own.  Madeline would credit her Lord and Savior for giving her the strength to raise her family and take care of their needs.  Up until the last week of her life she prepared a Monday night meal to feed any and all of her family who came to sit at her table, and she was the kind of mother and grandmother who could make a six-course meal from leftovers.  She enjoyed family outings, and her family always came home to her on holidays.  She loved to grow a vegetable garden as well as flowers, especially her impatiens. She was a long-time member of the Church of God in High Springs whose constant faith and love for the Lord served as an example to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Langford, her parents, her sister Louise Tyre, her brothers C.T. Langford, Harold Langford, and Dennis Langford, and her daughter Charlene Flemming.

Madeline is survived by her children Danny Flemming of Lake City, Lloyd (Jan) Flemming of High Springs, Ronald Flemming of High Springs, Donald (Katie) Flemming of High Springs, Thelma (Tom) Thomasson of Clearwater, and Angela Bell of St. Augustine; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren (including her namesake, little Madeline, who was the light of her life); siblings Dale Langford, Terry Langford, Jean Payne, Gail Thomas, and Karen Avinger all of High Springs.

The family will receive friends and family on Friday, August 19th for a visitation at Watson-Milton funeral home in Trenton, FL from 6-8pm.  A funeral to honor Madeline’s life will be held on Saturday, August 20th , at the Church of God in High Springs, service to begin at 11am.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton, Trenton. 352-463-8888. www.WatsonMilton.com
