Lillian Coulter Dietzman Jenkins

Lillian Jenkins passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday March 9th 2022. She was surrounded by family and her family of caregivers. Lillian was born in 1933 at her home located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa next-door to her grandparents. She attended Hillsborough High School, graduating with many honors and achievements and was the Captain of the High School Drill Team. Lillian stayed active with her high school’s alumni throughout her life. While attending the University of Florida she majored in Real Estate. Lillian was sectary of UF’s Real Estate Club, a lifetime sorority member of Zeta Tau Alpha and served as treasurer. Lillian met and married her husband David while attending UF. She was the Crescent Girl of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, David’s Fraternity during their senior year. Lillian graduated in 1955 with her BSBA and obtained her Real Estate Brokers’ license that she kept active until 2020. After graduating they moved to Miami Beach. Lillian was Senior Vice President in underwriting for Peninsula Federal Savings and Loan until retirement. Lillian was a founding President of the Hialeah Lions Auxiliary, President of the Miami Women's Club in 1976 and Chairman of the Fine Arts Committee for the Dade County Federation of Women’s Clubs. In 1986 Lillian and David retired to High Springs. She was an active member in the High Springs Garden Club and the High Springs New Century Women's Club where she was a past president and parliamentarian for successive presidents. Lillian has been a Women’s Club member for 61 years. Lillian is survived by her children David Jenkins (Beth) and Debbie (Joel), grandchildren Andrea, Mark, Max, Linda (Devon) and Andrew (Brianne), brother Dale (Jayne), great-grandchildren Carleigh, Grant, Cameron and Olivia along with her nephew Ralph his daughter Alexis and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Grave Side Services to follow at Priscilla Baptist Church Cemetery 2:30pm. 5509 W County Road 232 Bell, FL. 32619. Lillian will be laid to rest next to her Father Wilber G. Dietzman, Mother Louise G. Dietzman and her beloved Grannie, Elizabeth J. Coulter. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the GFWC High Springs Woman's Club Post Office Box 1154 High Springs, Florida. 32655
