Lance Shiver

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lance Shiver, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who departed this life on August 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on February 25, 1947, in Eustis, Florida, he spent his life in the embrace of his family and the great outdoors. 

A proud truck driver for Greg's Dragline, He was known for his soft-spoken demeanor and caring spirit. He dedicated nearly 16 years of a loving marriage to his wife, Pamela Woodruff, with whom he shared a profound bond of companionship that spanned over 30 years. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with laughter, adventures, and cherished moments. 

Lance was an avid fisherman and hunter, often found enjoying the serene beauty of nature. He also had a passion for drag racing. In addition to his hobbies, Lance enjoyed antiquing and found joy in discovering forgotten treasures. 

A true lover of animals, he shared his home with seven dogs throughout his life, the last being Peanut, a cherished companion known as the "bed hog," who brought him immeasurable joy and companionship. 

Lance is survived by his wife, Pamela; his sons Darren and Steven; stepsons Allen, Scott and Jamie Bush; daughter Christy; brother Randall; and sister Sharon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lance and Lottie, and a sister, Mary Ann. 

To honor Lance's life, a public viewing will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Watson-Milton Funeral Home located at 426 W Wade Street, Trenton, Fl. We invite family and friends to gather to celebrate the life of this gentle soul who touched the hearts of many. As we reminisce about his kindness, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to live on in those who knew and loved him.
