Kennith Stewart, 78, of Bell, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on November 30, 2025. Kennith was born on January 15, 1947, to Walter and Monette Stewart, in Gainesville, Florida.
Kennith proudly served his country for 23 years in the United States Navy, where he worked as a cook and fed countless service members with his skills, humor, and generosity. After retiring from the Navy, he continued a life of public service through his work with the Florida Department of Corrections and later with the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office. In every role, Kennith was known for his steady reliability, good nature, and dedication to those around him.
To his family, Kennith was the heart of the home. A caring and loving husband, father, and grandfather whose presence brought comfort and laughter. He was strong-hearted, quick with a joke, and always ready to lend his support. His sense of humor, paired with his natural warmth, left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Kennith found joy in the simple but meaningful pleasures of life. He loved fishing in quiet Florida waters, crafting with his hands in woodworking projects, and traveling to new places. On Saturdays in the fall, he could often be found cheering for the Florida Gators.
Kennith is survived by his wife of 55 years Judy Stewart; his daughters Teresa (Ryan) Hodge, Denise Stewart, and Brenda Lynn (Jeff); 14 grandchildren, with honorable mentions, Dakota (Madison) Hodge, Jenith Hodge (Gary) and Joshua Locke (Mallory). His legacy will live on with his 10 great grandchildren as well.
Kennith is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Monette Stewart; his daughter Tina Grimms, his brother Eddie Ives and his sister, Nona Marie Stewart.
