Karen Deanna Peterson

Mrs. Karen Deanna Peterson, age 81, of Bell, FL, passed away on May 8, 2022, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 16, 1940, in Clearwater, FL, to Giles Miller Burnett and Wilma Clark Burnett. Mrs. Peterson is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Larry Peterson; her son, Robert F. George II (Lisa) and grandson, Conor of Trinity, FL; her sister, Faye (Kent) Trumpeter of Fr. Collins, CO. Karen was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ethel Parker and Ester Ulmer.

Mrs. Peterson moved from her lifelong home in Pinellas County, FL, to Dixie County, FL, in 1991 with her husband, Larry, after retiring from a 33-year career with GTE. In 2001, she moved in to her first and only brand-new home that Larry built for her in Bell, FL. She loved traveling in their RV and spending time with her son and her family.

A Funeral service to honor Mrs. Karen’s life will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Watson- Milton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1:00pm. Her interment will immediately follow at the Old Town Memorial Cemetery. Bro. Dwayne Kight will be officiating the services.
