Johnny Mack Thomas, age 82, of High Springs, Florida, passed away on October 18, 2025.
Mr. Johnny Mack was born on December 20, 1942, to the late Jack Clarence Thomas and Josephine (Hgroman).
He retired from CSX Railroad in 1995 after 27 years of service. Mr. Thomas was a Deacon of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church of High Springs. He was also an avid hunter and member of The Gilchrist Sportsman Club.
Mr. Johnny Mack is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Gail (Langford) Thomas; his children, J. Garland Thomas and Theresa Bennett; his siblings, Betty M. Branch, Jackie E. Thomas and Linda Sue Thomas.
He is survived by his children, Renee Thomas Carter, Johnny (Ann) Thomas, Darrell (Rhonda) Thomas, Brandon (Angel) Thomas; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; his siblings, Jack (Teresa) Thomas Jr., Mary Douglas, JoAnn Stengel, Len Thomas, Charlene (John) LeBrun.
A funeral service to honor Johnny Mack will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at11:00 AM at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. Family invites friends for a visitation on Tuesday, October 21st, from 6-8 PM at Watson-Milton Funeral Home. Immediately following the funeral service, Johnny will be laid to rest next to Mrs. Gail at Forest Grove Cemetery in Alachua.
