John Delano Cannon

John Delano Cannon, a loving father and grandfather, age 80, of Bell, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 9, 1945, to parents JC and Stella Cannon in Bell, Florida. John was a lifelong resident of Gilchrist County and a member of Bethel Church of Christ.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Roberts Cannon; his daughter, Heidi D. McDowell.

He is survived by his daughters, Ginny (Ron) Allen, and Greta (Stephen) Cutts; his brother Jay (Pat) Cannon; his sister Shirley (Daniel) Jenkins; and his 7 grand children and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Mr. Cannon will be held on Friday, July 11th at 11:00 AM at Bethel Church of Christ, with Mr. David Halter officiating. Family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Mr. Cannon will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.
