James L Ortiz

James L. Ortiz, age 80, of Bronson, FL, passed away at Plantation Oaks Senior Living Center in High Springs, FL on June 11, 2018. He was born on February 8, 1938 to the late Thomas and Mabel Ortiz in Cordele, GA and was a resident of this area since moving from Key West nearly 20 years ago. Mr. Ortiz proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Public Works Foreman with the Civil Service. Mr. Ortiz was of the Christian faith. He is preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Jimmie Ortiz. He is survived by his step-daughter, Barbara (Larry) Langford of Bell, FL; his brother, Thomas F. Ortiz of Anderson, SC; eight step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 in the chapel at Watson Funeral Home.
