Hinton Woodrow “Lil Bud” Hodge, age 57 born on February 28, 1968, in Gainesville, Florida, passed away on June 24, 2025 at Haven Hospice in Chiefland, Florida.
Lil Bud found great joy in the outdoors with hobbies that included hunting, fishing and the discovery and collection of arrowheads. His memory will live on in his sense of humor, his talent for telling stories and his ability to keep you laughing. He could be tough as nails but had a huge tender heart and was always willing to help his friends when he could. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren and loved them very much.
He is survived by his children Logan (Jenny) Hodge, Taryn (Jacob) Richburg and Whitney (Tyler) Ploettner; his sisters Brenda (Don) Thomas and Beverly Garner; his grandchildren Brentlee, Harlee, Kolby, Kasper, Klara-Kate and Klay Richburg together with a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Wesley Hodge Sr and Ramona Hodge; his paternal grandparents Hinton and Pearlie Hodge, his maternal grandparents Bill Padgett and Kate Padgett Peterson; his sister Becky Hodge Johnson and brother John Wesley “Big Bud” Hodge, Jr; his grandson Klay Richburg and niece DeAnna Hodge.
A memorial service to honor Hinton will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 2:30 followed by the memorial service.
