Geraldine Abplanalp

Geraldine “Gerry” Denise Abplanalp, age 68, of Old Town, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026.

Born on August 11, 1957, in Monticello, New York, Gerry lived a life centered around love, family, and unwavering devotion to those closest to her. She was known for her caring heart, strength, and the deep connections she built with everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Gerry shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, James "Jim" Cameron Abplanalp, a testament to a lifelong partnership filled with love, commitment, and cherished memories.

She was a proud and loving mother to her children: John Abplanalp (Mia), Jennifer Kennedy (Mathew), Kenny Abplanalp (Cathy), and James Abplanalp. Her family was the center of her world, and she found immense joy in watching it grow.

Gerry was also a cherished grandmother to Kiersten Lee (Chris), Christine Horn (Stephen), Carrie Ann Kennedy (Shawn), Hannah Abplanalp, Hailey Kennedy, Khloey Abplanalp, Dustin Abplanalp, Jake Abplanalp, and Brody Abplanalp, and a loving great-grandmother to Camden and Maxine. Her legacy will live on through each of them, carried forward in the love and values she instilled.

She is also survived by her sisters, Katherine Davies (Jim) and Laurie Reinshagen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth “Ken” Dauch and Patricia “Pat” Dauch, and her brother, Kenneth “Jake” Dauch Jr.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication to her family, and the quiet strength she showed throughout her life. Whether through her words, her presence, or her unconditional love, Gerry touched many lives and leaves behind a lasting impact.
