Georgia Sanchez

Georgia Sanchez, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Trenton, Florida on January 2, 2026. She was born February 22, 1936, in Chiefland, Florida, to the late Charlie and Lora Howard.

Georgia was a devoted member of Union Baptist Church for over 40 years, where her faith and presence were a steady part of the community. She was known for her outspoken nature, and above all, her deep love for her family. In her free time, Georgia enjoyed scratch-off tickets, a good game of poker, and spending time outdoors. She especially loved fishing, finding peace and joy by the water.

Georgia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loyd Sanchez; her sons, Larry “Sandy” Sanchez, Gary (Randy) Sanchez, and Stevie Sanchez; her brother, James Howard; and her sisters, Mary Powell, Ethel Wingard and Ruby Carrol

Georgia is survived by her sons, Loyd Wayne Sanchez and Ronnie Dell Sanchez; her sister Katherine (Sue) Brasiel; her daughter in law, Sandra Lee Sanchez; her grandchildren, Wayne Allen Sanchez, Lora Lee Compton, Christopher Warden, Stephanie Turner, Darryl Sandal Sanchez, Crystal Wilks and April Feliciano; her great grandchildren, Kelsea Lynn Reeves, Taylor James Compton, Austin “Kaleb” Compton, Kadence Aubree Compton, Asher Garcia, Chloe Goetzman, Ryan Holton, Shelby Holton and Peyton Feliciano; and her great great grandchildren, Lillie Marie Reeves, Ella Mae Frazier and Silas Wayne Reeves. Along with many other extended family members and friends.

A funeral service to honor Georgia will be held on Friday, January 9, at 10:00 AM at Union Baptist Church. Family invites friends to a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Georgia will be laid to rest immediately after the service at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
