Mrs. Donna Rocille (Allen) Bouchie, age 63, of Bell, FL, passed away on April 19, 2022, at the Haven Hospice in Chiefland. Donna was born on July 29, 1958, in Clearwater. As a teen, she moved up to Dixie County, to be closer to family. Coming from humble beginnings, Donna had to work to provide for her family. Walking three miles to work, carrying two toddlers, instilled a drive and determination that would follow her throughout her life. She was an incredibly strong woman who loved her family, people around her, and most importantly, her God. If you knew her, you loved her. She was a faithful servant and member at the First Baptist Church of Old Town where she was active on the prayer list, sent out cards and invitations, and loved on people. When she wasn’t serving at the church, she enjoyed sewing, coloring, working in the yard, her flowers, and her animals, Sadie Bug her dog and Rosie her cat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Bouchie, her parents, Wilbur and Beverly (Wolfe) Allen and a daughter DeeDee of New Hampshire.
Donna is survived by her children, Tracy (Joey) Sanders of Old Town, Lynnette (Allen) Weaver of Trenton, Rusty (Robin) Hook of Bell, Jeane Bouchie of Old Town, Peggy (Keith) Martin, Sam (Chris) Bouchie, Debbie (Matthew) Newell all of New Hampshire, and Donna (Norma) Gray of Pasco County, FL; a brother George (Dottie) Allen of North Carolina; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a niece Ari Allen of North Carolina and a host of extended family also survive.
A funeral service to honor Mrs. Donna’s life will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 12:00 pm at her church, First Baptist Church of Old Town. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 11:00 am at the church. She will be laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery in Fort White. Bro. Ricky Downing will be officiating her services.
