Carrie Maline Langford

Carrie Maline Langford was born on May 14, 1934, to Joseph Farris Horne and Ida Bell Sheffield of Judson. She went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2023. Maline was married to Henry Joe Langford for 52 years until his passing in 2003. Together they raised 7 children, Barbara Ann Davenport of Trenton, Allen Langford (Cindy) of Branford, FL, Christine Dixon of Trenton, Wayne Langford (Tammy) of Trenton, Joel Langford of Trenton, Henry Langford (Cheri) of Trenton and Jason Kienlen of Trenton. Maline was the sister to Florris Beasley, Meveree Pope, Hazel Vick, James N. Horne, Elnor Asbell, Olivia Horne, Buddy Horne, David Horne, Jimmy Horne, Linda Brideson, and Lyle Horne. Maline was known to many, some called her mom, others called her grandma, Memaw, Aunt Maline or Sister Maline, everyone that knew her called her Godly. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and made sure her family and friends knew about Jesus. What a grand Grandmother she was, she is survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Anytime anyone would visit the Langford household Maline would immediately ask “what would you like to eat” then she would prepare a meal mad for a king. She believed in feeding people, good southern food. She prepared nut pound cake and famous Thanksgiving dressing for the community to purchase as a church fundraiser. She loved spending days in her garden and being surrounded by those who loved her. She will be missed, but we all have peace knowing she is worshiping with our Heavenly Father.

The viewing will be held at Watson-Milton Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 10 am, followed by a Graveside Service at 11:30 am at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend an opportunity to fellowship after the graveside service in the white building located beside the cemetery immediately following. Fried chicken will be provided bring a covered dish.
