Burnis E McConnell

On December 17th, Ed McConnell completed his journey on this earth and went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Trenton, Florida. He lived most of his life in a little town called Coeburn, Virginia then moved to Kingsport, Tennessee and finally to Florida. He loved the Lord and loved riding his bicycle and telling people about Jesus. He is preceded in death by his parents Burnis and Willie McConnell, his brothers Jackie Thacker and Danny McConnell, a sister Peggy Quesenberry and a Grandson Derek McConnell who died from injuries received while serving this country in Afghanistan. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice McConnell and three brothers in Virginia: Dairs, Freddie and Ricky and a sister Betty Brooks. He has three children, Keith (Sherry) McConnell of Chiefland Fl, Kevin (Stephanie) McConnell of Kingsport, Tn., and Kimberly (Chad) Larkins of Johnson City, TN. He has seven grandchildren: Michael, Ryan, Sean, and Kellina in NewJersey. Jairus {Kelsey) McConnell, of Trenton, Fl, Brittany Dickerson (Chris) of Johnson City, TN., and Emily McConnell of Chiefland Fl. He has three Great Grandchildren, Brooklyn, Logan and one on the way. The Funeralwill be at First Baptist Church of Trenton, located at 118 NE 2nd street, Trenton at 2:00 p.m. and the graveside at Chiefland Cemetery in Chiefland.
