Barbara Anne Landrum, age 86, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on September 28, 1939, in Long Branch, New Jersey, and from the very beginning, she brought warmth, strength, and just the right amount of sass into the world.
Barbara was loving to her core and fiercely devoted to her family. She had a caring heart that always put others before herself. A self-proclaimed “worry wart,” she carried the concerns of everyone she loved, always wanting to make sure her family was safe, happy, and cared for. If anyone needed her, she would drop everything without hesitation.
Coming directly from her grandkids, she was, without question, the GOAT of a Nana. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she made sure they knew it. She spoiled them every chance she got, showering them with love, attention, and special memories they will carry forever.
Barbara had an adventurous spirit that never faded. She loved to travel and embraced life. Even with trips like parasailing, she chased thrill and adventure. At home, she found happiness in crocheting, collecting antiques (especially Christmas treasures), and decorating for every holiday. Christmas was her masterpiece season; her home would glow with warmth, tradition, and the magic she created.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Ann O’Hagen; her in-laws, Verdie and Vell Landrum; her sisters-in-law, Georgia May Jones and Francis Arvellar; and her brothers-in-law, Dale Landrum, Luther Landrum, and Max Earl Landrum.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Myrel Landrum; her children, William, Kathleen, Patrick, Danielle, and Chris; and her beloved 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her love, laughter, and legacy.
A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Friday, February 20th at 4:00 PM at Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton. Family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home. (352)463-8888 www.WatsonMilton.com
