Barbara Bullington

Barbara Jean Thorman Bullington, 87, of Trenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Barbara was born on January 6, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, to Carl and Adelaide Thorman. She later made her home in Miami, Florida, where she met the love of her life, Owen Bullington. Together, they built a family rooted in faith, love, and devotion. In the 1980s, Barbara and Owen moved to Trenton, Florida, where they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and hospitality.

Of the Catholic faith, Barbara lived her life with a servant’s heart. She retired from North Florida Regional Hospital after many years of dedicated service as a data processor. Barbara was known for her kindness, generosity, and ability to make everyone feel like family. She never met a stranger, and her home and heart were always open.

To her family, she was lovingly known as Granny/Nanny. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who poured her love into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether it was cheering on accomplishments, lending a listening ear, or filling the holidays with her delicious cooking, Barbara’s love was constant. She especially delighted in her role as Granny/Nanny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always making each of them feel uniquely special.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Adelaide Thorman; her husband, Owen Bullington; and her brother, Keith Thorman. She is survived by her children: Brooks Bullington (Mary) of Odessa, FL; Douglas Bullington (Donna) of Mooresville, NC; Christine Langford (Tim) of Trenton, FL; and Wesley Bullington (Amy) of Kenova, WV. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and countless friends who became family.

Her legacy of love, laughter, strength, and faith will live on through the generations she so dearly cherished. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with Owen in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
